Whether you’re using wild or domestic turkey, this simple and zippy recipe is a must-try. These buffalo turkey meatballs are perfect as an appetizer or a main dish, served over rice or with your favourite sides like salad, fries, or potato wedges. They're a lot like boneless wings, so any side you'd enjoy having with wings.

Buffalo Turkey Meatballs Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground turkey (wild or domestic)
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (panko or Italian style)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup onion, minced
  • 1/4 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1/4 cup carrots, finely shredded
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

After Cooking:

  • 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (for tossing)
  • 1/4 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing (for drizzling or dipping)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper and brushing olive oil on the surface.
  2. In a large bowl, mix all of the meatball ingredients: ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, onion, carrots, buffalo sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir until well combined.
  1. Using a tablespoon measurer, scoop and shape the mixture into round meatballs and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  2. Bake for 20 minutes, flipping the meatballs at the 10-minute mark to ensure even cooking.
  1. Remove from the oven, let them cool for 5 minutes, and then gently roll the meatballs in buffalo sauce.
  2. Drizzle with blue cheese or ranch dressing before serving.
